Drinks order swiftly dealt with and delivered food... read more 2nd night in Praia and tried this restaurant. Quite a number of people in the restaurant always a good sign. Drinks order swiftly dealt with and delivered food order also, food tasty and not a bad house wine. Friendly staff, attentive without being oppressive. All...in all worth a visit.

The menu on the boar... read more We chose this restaurant, which is at the end of the strip at Praia da Rocha, as it has a nice seating area and looks very crisp and clean. The menu on the board outside had many different offers. We sat down and before even...ordering a drink, a plate containing a tiny cheese, some butter, olives and pate arrived on our table and a then the waiter ushered a young lady over with a basket of bread rolls. In the manner of which this arrived it appeared to be very much complimentary. We ordered a jug of Sangria which was very nice. We had decided to order the Fillet steak with eggs before we had entered the restaurant, however we wished to drink our jug before ordering and despite explaining this to the waiters on more than 5 occasions they still kept asking us to order. They were not busy so we just found this very annoying. Eventually we decided to order and told the waiter we wished to order the fillet steak, he informed us that it was in fact sirloin bit disappointed but ordered as we decided it was not a problem. However when our food arrived I can honestly say this was more like a piece of chump steak, so chewy and almost inedible. Due to the very poor service we received we decided to just pay the bill and leave without making a fuss as we felt our night had been ruined enough. On receiving our bill we then realised the bread etc, which they had put on our table as soon as we sat had been added to our bill at a cost of 7 Euros. As my husband had just had the bread roll and a bit of the cheese and 1 olive and I had half a bread roll, you can imagine our disgust. I would never eat here again if visiting Praia da Rocha.

In the last week called for lunch, the tourist 3 curs menu offers a selection of several starters, netzen and deserts and is very good value at 8.90 euro. both... read more In the last week called for lunch, the tourist 3 curs menu offers a selection of several starters, netzen and deserts and is very good value at 8.90 euro. both my wife and I had seafood cocktails for beginners who were good but not much. seafood included for the nets that my wife had lamb chops that she said were very good and cooked to perfection, I had hard fish although a little undercooked for my taste it was still very delicious. we chose both variations of cheesecake from a very impressive desert floor. ju offers very good value for money, with good service to fit.
