KFC - Portage
KFC
Description
Housed in a fresh-looking building, this KFC delivers notably fresh, flavorful chicken and tempting new snack-wraps alongside friendly moments and a helpful manager. However, experiences are inconsistent: patrons report odd smells, dirty restrooms, slow or mixed-up orders, short staffing and occasional chaotic front-counter management. Good value options and bright exterior appeal, but expect variability in service and cleanliness.

The manager at KFC today (blonde hair, pink shirt) was incredibly kind and helpful, and it was clear the staff really respect her. Overall, a great experience. The only drawback was that the tables could have been cleaned a bit faster, but the team seemed a bit short-staffed. The menu had good options, which added to the positive visit.
The chicken at KFC was overcooked, and the men's bathroom was particularly dirty. After waiting 15 minutes, we had to call staff to open the doors. We've visited KFC before without any problems, but if this were our first experience, we would not return. The menu still has potential, but the overall experience needs improvement.
I ordered a Lover's Side with 8 pieces, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese, fries, and an extra mashed potatoes with gravy. Instead, I received 8 pieces, 2 mashed potatoes, 1 gravy, and coleslaw—no mac and cheese or fries. I tried calling the store but got no answer. I don’t have time to go back to the restaurant.
We tried to get an 8 piece meal at 8:15pm tonight (Saturday night) and were told that they were out of chicken. We were offered to wait 20 minutes for it but decided to go elsewhere. I worked for KFC in my four years of high school and would’ve never been this unprepared for a Saturday night. It’s just too bad.
