Chipotle Mexican Grill - Portage
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Description
Chipotle's location offers a convenient dining option, boasting ample parking and an inviting outdoor seating area. While many customers have praised the burritos for their exceptional taste and generous portions, reviews highlight inconsistencies in food quality, particularly with rice preparation. Service experiences vary, with some guests enjoying prompt service during busy times, while others report issues with customer support and the restaurant's cleanliness. Despite these drawbacks, many patrons appreciate the diverse menu, especially for vegetarian and Halal options. Overall, Chipotle remains a popular choice, though it faces challenges in delivering a consistently positive dining experience.

Fresh and tasty as always although while paying a little more for Barbacoa, the portion was smaller than the other options.
The rice at this restaurant has consistently been a problem; it's either excessively wet or overly dry. I'm not very picky about my rice, but when it’s so hard it’s difficult to chew, or so soggy that water collects in the bowl, it becomes inedible. Unfortunately, I encounter one of these issues with the rice more often than not, which is the primary reason I can't give a better review. Additionally, the staff isn’t very friendly, which further detracts from the overall experience.
I frequently visit this restaurant, and it’s probably my favorite place in the greater Kalamazoo area. Unfortunately, this is the second time in the past month that I've found meat in my sofritas bowl. The first time, there was a sizable piece of chicken, and this time there were 4-5 pieces of pork mixed in with the sofritas. This is quite alarming for me as a vegetarian, since consuming meat makes me physically ill. I'm really disappointed that the vegetarian option here doesn't feel safe.
I absolutely love the bowls! However, during this visit, I paid for extra chicken and cheesy queso, but unfortunately, I didn’t find either in any of the three bowls.
