Nice place to get yummy muffins, cakes, fresh fruits and veggies. Located in a very beautiful area in Port Moody. Sometimes you can find very good deals on pastries and fruits there. It is not an ideal place to buy meats, seasoning and sauces here because prices are pretty higher compared to other places! View all feedback.
What Andrew Lyons doesn't like about Woodstone Pizza Kitchen:
I've had pizza at many places and this might be the worst. The best way to describe the pizza is wet. I picked up a slice only to have everything slide off. There was WAY too much cheese (yes that's possible) and hardly any sauce not to mention the pizza being grossly undercooked. I would have been better off getting my pizza at FreshSlice (yuck). Do yourself a favour and grab a panini, wrap or one of the lunch deals... View all feedback.
Excellent bakery! Lots of options for fresh cookies and treats, plus I really appreciate the year-round hot crossed buns and the cakes that are made of 4 different cakes assembled so you can have options for picky dinner guests. The produce section is also great, with a lot of beautifully arranged varieties you can't get elsewhere. I also appreciate the clean bathrooms. All that being said though, we no longer go to this location because the staff seem unhappy and the customers are consistently and unmistakably miserable. I don't know what to make of it, but we've never been to a grocery store that has such a reliably sour clientele. Anytime you stop to browse a section, another customer briskly sidles up VERY CLOSE besides you or behind you, impatiently tapping their toes and glaring until you finish, or reaching aggressively in front of you for the item they desperately need at that exact second. Seriously, the last time my wife and I went it happened to both of us 4 times within the first 5 minutes of being there! And I don't like to dawdle, either, but apparently I can never be fast enough to please the others. Our theory is, because the store is at the bottom of a bunch of residential towers, it's mostly patronized by residents who know what they want and are in a hurry to keep to their daily schedule, which would explain why they are all single, joyless, and think they own the place. So it's not really Thrifty's fault, but it's also a good enough reason to never go there again. Thanks for reading!
A great local grocery store. Yes, it can be pricy, but the staples like their fruit and vegetables are always top quality. They also have a great bakery and deli. Well worth coming to for a quick lunch or your weekly shop.
Sarah and Ellie are the greatest cashiers ever. I go here all the time and they?re super courteous and friendly. They always give me a good laugh!
Service is good. I find their produce to be overpriced but they have one of the best meat departments in the Tri-City area
Lots of variety and well laid out. Some items are pricier than other Grocery stores in the local area.
