What Jade Walsh doesn't like about The Pilbara Room:
New in town and searching for a date night venue I found this place on TA.It's located at the best western hotel and a little difficult to locate if your new in town.Friendly staff and a nice interior. We went for the mixed platter to start which was pretty good. For main we both had the Barra which was stuffed with crab and delicious and a really good size serving. Not cheap but not expensive for up here, well worth a... Eating is some of the best in the nw. we all enjoyed the oktopus and our main thing were excellent. service is always hit and miss, but once everything comes, it's all good. very recommended booking, as this is a popular small place.
Wow have eaten at most restraunts in karratha and could not find a decent meal they could flaw this place sensational
The tom yum suppe with garnelen was delicious! probably the best I had in Australia. the steak was also very good. very good quality restaurant eating.
If you live in the hospitality inn in port hedland, you don't have to travel very far to find good food. it is recommended to have the steak medium with garlic puzzles on the side for dinner, and to the breakfast you should not go past the ei benedict.
I generally don’t expect much from restaurants attached to hotels let alone motels, they’re usually a convenience thing. But this one was a surprise. The staff were nothing less than fantastic, being polite, efficient, hard working and friendly. There were plenty of them too which...was a nice change. The setting is fairly basic, but one of the best in Hedland. It seems one of the popular spots for couples to have a nice night out. The menu was large with a nice contingent of seafood, local food, steaks and Asian cuisine. Definitely something for everyone. Make sure you book! I walked in on a Tuesday night and couldn’t get a table. The kitchen closes around 8-8.30, so don’t expect a late night. There is a small bar area at the front, so turn up 20 mins early and have a cocktail before dinner.
