What User likes about The Esplanade:
Had a meal at the Esplanade Hotel. Was very impressed with the service and food. Steak was cooked to perfection. Lovely welcoming atmosphere set outside. Loved all the lights in the trees. I am sorry I have only just discovered this place. Food drinks: Brilliant View all feedback.

After I was very disgusted in the quality of food and the price I was charged with me, I thought I would give it to go another as the menu changed and new chef. only brave enough to try lunch for now, I would say a massive improvement in the quality and presentation of food. Great dog friendly pub,.with reasonable prices , I only gave 4 rating because I don't think the oysters were that fresh on my seafood platter.

The meals were great, full of flavour and super filling! Sadly the overal meal and drinks service was a let down, we ordered a drink when we arrived, we had to follow this up and the drink arrived, sadly after we had eaten. We ordered entree and mains, but for some reason we were served mains before the entres? Hmmm We also were not provided a entree for which we addressed with staff, but no refund offered. Area for improved, atmosphere is great with huge potential!

The atmosphere was great. Food was ok, steak not cooked to order, the catch of the day was not fresh. The preordered fruit platter was great, and the meat/cheese platter were huge and fresh.

Had dinner here. Short staffed but very disorganised. Wine order was missed and pork belly was dry and inedible. Would not recommend...

Dry chicken with a sweet sauce (odd), cold vegetables and luke warm/dry potato bake. Didn't even eat 1/4 of the meal. Will not return for the food. Gave 1 star because the cocktails were yummy.
