My husband and I had checked out the menu during the day and thought it looked good. Boy were we wrong. We asked for mango chutney, they had none. The raita was returned as it was sour and obviously off.The poppadoms were burnt. My husbands mixed veg bahjis were mostly onion, also burnt and very greasy. Whilst waiting for our main course one of the owners young sons decided to urinate outside the restaurant. At that we... View all feedback.
Just an awesome place for an evening meal.. Started with Paneer Pakora to Main course.. Amazing service with a big smile!!keep it up guys
Really poor experience, such a lovely waitress and a menu full of hope, but after a horrendous entree of onion bhaji, which was inedible (with a raita, that had nothing right-a-bout it ), we bailed. We got up and cancelled the rest of our meal as fast as possible. After initially being prepared to pay for the uneaten entree, we decided to take a stand of non payment of tanything.l This was accepted, which was the only positive of the whole experience. The place was empty and we now know why.
Butter Chicken, Lamb Rogan Josh and keema nann bread. Meat large pieces and tough, sauce tasted ok. Waiter was friendly and polite(not the best english and understanding of Indain food??). We where there late, sat out front and 4 people turned up ( presume friends of cook as he came and chatted with them)they where quite loud, interesting language and of putting behaviour. Would not go back would not recommend. Also considering there was only 2 other people dinning took a while for our meal.
We were looking for a casual meal out and found Royal Spice off the Main Street, with few customers. Not sure why not - the food was really good. Genuine Indian - not dumbed down for the tourist, with excellent tandoori dishes and curries. The service was friendly and personable. The restaurant could do with a bit of a spruce up (the paint along the window edge old and tired). But this is a restaurant that deserves to be full every night.
Decent food and service, we had a take out and it too quite a while to be cooked 45 mins but food was good and would go back.
