Hi Tide Café Bar Restaurant

Nice place and the food was good. one of the employees was however very rude for all (also for other employees) the blonde girl was very bad this morning and please make a better choice of music! I love indie rock, but for an breakfast restaurant is a bit too much. there are better restaurants for breakfast in port douglas.

We came with 6 people and a 6 months old to have breakfast and waited to take place. the waitress said we had no more tables, although there were only 2 tables with people sitting on them. we were trying to go, but ended up on the table of 6 so that we could sit together. on ordering - one of the options was not available, so a person went back to the table to discuss with a partner and went back and had to wait for 2 other tabs to order before we arrived the meaning of 1 couple foods when all the others had finished on the table. they also ran out of hollandaise soße, so 3 people got a puppet player from hollandaise and 1 person got bbq soße instead and we still paid full price. a waitress had no very happy attitude and everything felt like a very big annoying. I understand that the workers' problems would go through kovid etc., but a smile would go along. we were so excited to come here, but unfortunately not back.

Not bad for lunch. Again lunch menu so not a true indication of all the kitchen is capable of.

Dinner was excellent and wine list very good. Service was friendly and efficient.Only issue was that our booking, at 745pm, was the last one they take for evenings (due to staff shortages) so the place cleared out from early diners by around 830pm and we were left there with no atmosphere and feeling like we were keeping the staff from going home. For $250 meal, incl wine, we would have preferred some atmosphere.So def go there for dinner, but get an early booking!
