Contribute FeedbackLocated in Port Douglas, this restaurant has received mixed reviews from visitors. While some were disappointed with the overpriced, average food, and lack of service, others raved about the quality of the dishes, attentive staff, and cozy ambiance. The menu, which includes French-themed dishes, offers a great variety of options, and the wine selection is excellent. With a sister restaurant nearby that also boasts top-notch food and service, many diners are eager to return. One reviewer even ranked the establishment as one of his top ten restaurants worldwide, praising dishes like the foie gras pate and rib eye. Whether you're in the mood for feasting plates on the garden deck or a humble dish of battered mackerel under the shade of mango trees, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience for all types of food enthusiasts.
I ate here a while ago and was the first diner to arrive for a lunchtime meal, and I was with my son. The waiter eventually came back to take our order, and then we waited, and waited, and waited. When we did get the meal, I was wondering how the price of the meal was justified, and why it had taken so long given we were literally the only ones there, and the meals were not rocket science! The price was extremely over-inflated, and the food was very average - obviously I was paying for the fact that the owner/chef had earned stars. The service was practically non-existent and as such, I vowed never to eat there again. Very disappointed :(
Drove up from Cairns to try this place out. To be simply put. Food was excellent. Service was excellent. Worth the drive (although the drive itself was wonderful).
Harrisons has moved to the Sheraton Grand Mirage and Spencer Patrick's second restaurant is now called Bistro H. We were pleased to find it just as good as the old Harrisons at that location. We could not fault the food, the wine and the service. Both are must eating places in Port Douglas. By the way Bucci, Spencer Patrick's old restaurant in Macrossan St, is now closed and the site cleared.
We have been to Bistro H 3 times now and never disappoints. Menu is French themed, great variety of food and an excellent wine line. Staff are very professional and attentive. The theme of the restaurant works well for Port Douglas. Can't wait to try the new sister restaurant, Harrison's next visit to Port Douglas.
We popped in for lunch. The service was lovely. And the lamb shoulder melting in your mouth delightful Love this place.
