This was a fantastic opportunity to enjoy some fresh seafood in a unique way. The small plates were excellent (and quite generous in size). The fish and chips were perfect, although I would have liked a little malt vinegar to go with the fries. The crab bag was also outstanding. The only downside was that the delivery of the oysters hadn't arrived, so I missed the chance to try them, but we were informed about this r... View all feedback.
What Alanna Von doesn't like about 2 Fish Port Douglas:
Whilst the service and seating was good. The fish we ordered, Mangrove Jack, was badly cooked rubbery tough and still uncooked inside. It was served without a salad on creamy bean mixture, and no lemon. For a seafood restaurant they should know better. View all feedback.
Excellent seafood and good portions. I had the bug (mini lobster) and it was cooked to perfection with a donator. fresh, delicious and the staff was very friendly. the only neg was service was slow, but understandable in a full restaurant in thu night.
Do yourself a favour and take your partner here! Amazing dishes with great wine, lovely friendly service.... The tuna is a rock star best we have ever had!
Had a takeaway from here, so this review is based on the takeaway only. Firstly there is a really simple takeaway menu, beer battered fish or calamari. This wasn't a problem, but a little bit of a shame as some of the dishes on the main menu looked great. We ordered two of the beer battered fish, which was Spanish Mackerel at $26 per portion. The portion sizes were great and came with a side salad too. The fish, chips and salad were all tasty (although English chip shop chips are way better than standard chips) but unfortunately the batter wasn't crispy at all, it was on the soggy side, which was surprising given the takeaway bags weren't sealed. I would like to think this was a one off, but for the price was disappointing. We are still tempted to try out the restaurant as the menu does look great.

Overlooked market fish, dry tofu, sashimi platter was thinly shaved and bland and accompanied with mayonnaise ???!!! ... service was mostly good, hence the one star. Disappointing the google reviews are misleading.
