The best restaurant we discovered in Port Douglas! This place rivals any eatery in Melbourne or Sydney. While the food in Port Douglas is generally good, it often comes with a steep price tag. I really wanted to love this place but i was left dissapointed. We went for breakfast (not resort guests) and i had the $22 french toast which was one small slice of bread w a spoon of yogurt and fruit. Yes it tasted nice but there should have been 2 or 3 pieces of bread! I ate and was left sitting still hungry while others still ate around me. We found the meals over priced for what they are. Love Chapter One.they do it how they want it.new smoke house 2019,service is fantastic,menu is waaay above anything around,artisan tasty visualy creative with everything.try pork rillettes,black butter,cobia hit the cauliflower/wholemeal pancakes at breakfast.a must go eat experience

We also ordered tea which was half filled cups with water and a bag on the side?! Great concept, lacking proper execution. I also noticed the cushions around the pool on beds were stained, lacking form and aged, pieces of roof were missing and blue tarps spanned roof lines, caution tape around the place. Not sure whats happened but def wouldnt stay there if exterior is reflective of villas
Best food in Far North Queensland! Highly recommended. Staff were amazing and well priced.
Had a meal last day with my fiancée. The food is absolutely amazing! The taste was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. The steaks were very buttery and tender and the desert is from this world. My only critic is that I wanted more!
