Guests have praised the attentive service and vibrant appetizers, particularly the grilled octopus and swordfish. However, some have criticized inconsistent food quality, noting issues with overcooked dishes and unfulfilled menu expectations during special occasions. While many diners commend the restaurant for its cleanliness and COVID precautions, the mixed reviews suggest a need for culinary refinement. Despite the occasional flaws, it remains a popular spot, often recommended for its inviting ambiance and hearty portions.
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here and the restaurant provided outstanding service and food! Also took great precaution with Covid and had electronic menu to download from own phone, and sanitizer at the table.
1st time going to the restaurant, really enjoyed the food it was amazing. Would definitely go back.
We went to Telly's before a show at the Capitol Theater. We had never been here before and were pleasantly surprised. The food was wonderful. Everything we ordered was so flavorful. I would highly recommend the grilled octopus appetizer. The prices were a little bit high, but it was well worth it. We will be back!
Now I've been to Telly's 4 times in the last couple of months. Generally the food is very good. The restaurant is very, very pretty and they are very nice.
Started with a salad. It was over priced and lousy. Then our main course’s arrived and both were over cooked and uneatable. We sent both back they cooked us new dishes which took an additional twenty minutes and both were average at best. This was the second and last time I would go to this restaurant. The first time we went was opening night and is was also equally as bad. Telly’s Taverna is overpriced and lousy.
