I placed an online order for pick-up, but when I arrived, the owner told me he hadn't prepared it even though the order had gone through. He said he would make it right then, but after driving 20 minutes to get there, I wasn't willing to wait any longer. Ordered pizza, cheese sticks, and bread sticks for 3 people. We all wanted cheese dipping sauce so the order was made to have a total of 4 cheese sauces total. They decided to just give us what they wanted so we only got 2 sauces. Thanks to the boxesbeing taped shut, this wasn't discovered until we got the food inside. Promptly called the store and was told that they wouldsend the driver back with the sauces soon as he got back. Well it's been 90 minutes since I called and nobody has shown backup. Papa John's literally stole from me at this point, considering you have to pay extra for the sauces. I will never orderfrom here again, this location SUCKS!
Wow, our first time trying PJ pizza ? and we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was! We ordered the veggie pizza for a late dinner via Uber: it came quickly and was still warm, even though we are a good 15-minute drive away. The crust was amazing? soft and airy yet thick and filling. Vegetables were all fresh. Cheese was plentiful but not too heavy and didn?t taste asprocessed as some places. The sauce might not be for everyone. It?s more like fresh (uncooked) tomatoes than an actual sauce,which might be acidic for some... but we liked it. It was our first experience but it won?t be our last.
How do I compare this Papa John's to the ones in Southern California? If I could give customer service and pizza quality 10 stars, I definitely would. I'm not sure if the older gentleman was the owner, but based on the "family-owned" sign at the front door, he seemed to be. He provided excellent customer service and was genuinely kind. He even offered me other pizzas at reasonable prices, but I kindly declined as I couldn’t finish all the pizza I had. My girlfriend is quite picky about food, especially pizza, but she absolutely loved it. She said it was made exactly the way pizza should be. A happy girlfriend means a happy life! I rate this Papa John's 5 out of 5 stars and will definitely be coming back.
The food was great, but I really wish I had been informed when it arrived, as no one texted or called me.
The cheese pizza with jalapeños is extraordinary and the best I've tasted this side of the Atlantic.
