We always have coffees here when staying at, or passing through Port Augusta on caravan trips. Friendly table service and nice food and pleasant background music. Probably wouldn't suit young people but very relaxing and comfortable for us. Can highly recommend. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ozzie's Coffee Lounge:
Stopped here for a coffee while driving thru Port Augusta. Asked for a strong coffee and got warm milk. The chai was OK but not great. Sandwiches average. Chocolate cheesecake yummy though. Service nice too. View all feedback.
The food was delicious, I had the quiche and it was made clear at home and was excellent. It is a very nostalgic little cafe that I would say 1950s/60s style that there was that Oldie feel world. Only 1 complaint, too many tables crawled inside when you open... the front door it bang on the chair behind him and there was an old person with a walker, so that someone who went past the first table, where she sat almost her broken neck when she passed.
We were hunting for a simple and nutritious lunch on the way through Coffin Bay. We came over this little café and their menu was for what we were looking for. The sandwiches are delicious with special small touch to make them extra delicious. The children were also very satisfied with their delicious, generously dimensioned ice chocolates. Super friendly staff and cozy, interesting interior. felt like we stopped at Nannas for lunch! I love it!
I found this place. I thought it was good enough to go to Adelaide a week later. Good selection of breakfast choices and melting. Had a cheese and avocado melt. Two slices of bread with pile of topping. All napkins... we see good for other people were very generous. Coffee was great. I'm a flat white man. My wife had an orange juice she couldn't finish because of the generous size.
Ozzie's is not a lively Italian style espresso bar. Not like a tea room from the 1950s. Quiet, served beautiful cakes and meals, pleasant and nursing service. Okay, so the atmosphere is not all chrome and Laminex, but that makes this... relax. Sure the coffee is good, but the sparkling machine is in the kitchen. I'm sure the Scones we enjoyed where they were made on the grounds. if you want to enjoy a break and remember when things move more slowly (in a nice way) then for a while at Ozzie's.
A group had to stop quickly on route to Coober Pedy and were starving. The cafe was pokey and dated, and the meals and coffees took ages to arrive. I didn't see an espresso machine at all (I have a feeling the coffee was instant)...and the potato and leek soup I should've sent back with the grit I was crunching in my teeth, let alone that it was a packet mix. This is my first-ever review but felt compelled to let people know how badly run this place was.
