Stopped in for a quick bite before heading back to Adelaide. The food was excellent. Really not more to say, the menu was basic but what they did they did with great taste. Well worth the visit if you are in Port Augusta. View all feedback.

Exactly what one would expect at a country town cafe. Great quality food and drinks. Menu written on the wall and no table service. Laid back vibe with friendly staff. View all feedback.
I was in Pt Augusta for the day whilst my partner did a course at TAFE on our way from Adelaide through to Roxby Downs. Thinking I would try out Mamma Lous I ordered the Haloumi dish with an add on poached egg and a turmeric latte. Seeing that they were busy I let they lady know I wanted to dine in but may have to get takeaway as I couldn't see an available table, she said there would probably be a table available to dine in by the time my food was ready and I let her know that I had secured a table out the front and would be dining in. 35 minutes later the young boy brought out my cardboard box containing my meal. No cutlery, no latte, no "sorry about the wait". Dirty dishes accompanied me at my table the whole time. I asked for cutlery which he brought out slowly. I asked for my latte and a plate to eat on. After 5minutes (my food was going cold) I went in to get them myself and was told I couldn't have a plate as they were all dirty, I said no worries but the lady went to get one anyway, she heavily dropped a dirty plate down on the counter in front of me without saying a word and turned away, I left the plate there and went to eat from the box. The menu item listed all the ingredients except rocket which I dislike so I pulled that off and began to eat. The food was small but nice and I enjoyed it. The young boy came out while I was eating grabbed one plate and one cup leaving all the others on the table I was at, had the plate washed and brought it out, he slowly wondered back inside empty handed leaving the other plates with me, I thanked him, finished my meal and left. In short waited a long time for a smallish dish in which I removed the rocket and ate from the box with my luke warm latte after chasing cutlery and received poor service. The young boy had no sense of urgency during the busy time, barely engaged and walked around empty handed. Went, saw, won't return.

Went to Mamma Lous for the first time and it was a beautiful meal. I thought I would have the full breakfast and it was way to much, but so delicious that I had to keep eating. I also had ordered a lime milkshake and that was also beautiful. Just like the old days, with cold milk in the metal container and full to the top with froth on the top. OH Wow. I did not have to eat again until dinner time.
Wonderful range of cakes different ones every time we visit. Long black, double shot, very nice. Cappuchino is nice but not hot enough. Staff very friendly and helpful.
