Found this via TripAdvisor Great spot loved that we got window service. The J&L Special burger was a wonderful complete burger. Mushrooms,cheese, two patties tomato,lettuce,sausage, sauce and bacon.Onion rings cook d to perfection. Shrimp and chips were a wow. Note this place for your visit to Port Alberni View all feedback.

This is an old style drive in restaurant . It is eerily similar to an old style A & W , though they deny a connection . . The hamburgers were OK but no better than that . Good onion rings . Service was good but as it is what it is , service does not matter that much . Price was fine . All in all , there are lots better than this but it was OK . View all feedback.
I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for years whenever I visit Port to see family, and it never fails to impress. The food is fantastic and has that classic old-school drive-in diner vibe. The staff are also wonderful. I can't wait to return to Port, and J&L will definitely be our first stop every time.
The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I was pleasantly surprised. A great place to stop for lunch on the way to Tofino.
Loved the feel of this place reminded me of old movies I've watched and the food was epic!!! Great burgers and big serving of fresh cut fries definitely no complaints
For $8, you can't go wrong with a good burger. As someone who is picky about burgers, I found the mushroom burger to be a satisfying snack at a reasonable price.
All it is a drive thru burger shack. I can make better burgers at home. The spicy fries taste like fries you buy at costco. Definitely not worth the
