Trattoria Toscana is very interesting. It is standing just by the main square in Porretta so you could be afraid that with the location and such generic name you could walk into tourist trap. But that is not the case. We booked for Sunday lunch and arrived to a warm welcome from the owner. We started with tortelloni with sage and butter and a mixed platter of Tuscan starters. Followed by roast beef which was very thinly sliced, tender and beautifully cooked, accompanied with roast potatoes. For desert we shared a homemade mascarpone and chocolate. This is italian cooking at its best with great service. The bill including cafe, 2 bottles of water a glass of Prosecco €55.00. The restaurants is usually very busy, so it’s best to book in advance.
Always a good sign when you see people from the area enjoying a meal. And we were not disappointed. Pleasant atmosphere, adequate menu of local cuisine, good service, family friendly.
