A neon strip hums above the bar, bathing the room in a soft, slightly artificial light. Nothing dramatic, just a quiet evening. In front of you is a Campari, cold, clear, with an orange slice on the rim. The first sip is pleasantly bitter, just right after a long day. The local cat greets the guests. A place where you can simply sit without anything having to happen.
