Very pleasant, friendly staff, much better than the normal station buffet. Good choice of coffees and food, and reasonably priced. Unfortunately it is a little too small and the decor is a little drab. View all feedback.
What charries96 doesn't like about White And Black Coffee Company:
I recently visited this restaurant to meet with a business partner. I have to say, the lattes here are dangerously delicious and pair perfectly with the breakfast sandwiches. Normally, I find station sandwiches to be chewy and unappetizing, but these were a pleasant surprise. The atmosphere is also great, with classic radio playing instead of a repetitive playlist. I appreciate the attention to detail. Additionally, the staff are fantastic at prioritizing customers who are in a hurry, ensuring that your quick drink doesn't hold up your entire day. Overall, a great spot for a quick meal or coffee while waiting for the train.
We decided to give this restaurant a try for coffee after reading reviews on TripAdvisor before catching the first of three trains home. I had a feeling we wouldn't be pleased when I saw the flat whites being made and their size. While we acknowledge being coffee connoisseurs, we were disappointed by the lack of attention to detail in preparing the coffee (especially since it wasn't too busy) and found it to be too hot and bitter for our liking. Unfortunately, we ended up pouring most of it down the drain.
The staff were friendly, but the coffee was disappointing. The restaurant is conveniently located near the station, but not on the High Street. They also offered snacks.

Fantastic place to start off the humdrum of a working day. Would highly recommend The Forest as not only is it delicious but it's Chris's favourite drink to make.
