Harbour Heights - Poole
Harbour Heights
Description
Despite enjoying previous visits to Harbour Heights, the reviewers had a disappointing experience on this occasion. They found the menu choices limited and the service lacking. One reviewer noted that the restaurant now has a breakfast buffet cooler that gives the impression of a hotel breakfast room. However, the food quality and taste were still good despite the departure of the first chef in December. While the location offers superb views, the prices were considered high for the quality of food received. On a positive note, a family celebrated a 21st birthday with a lovely meal where every dish was well-cooked and tasty, with excellent staff attention. Another reviewer was impressed with the first-class food and service for their son's 18th birthday lunch, along with the beautiful views. Special mention was given to a staff member for making the birthday celebration memorable.

Although the location offers a fantastic view, the prices are quite high as a result. The food was decent, but did not justify the high prices. Paying over £15 for a salad seems a bit too much. I'm not sure if I would come back soon, but the ambiance is lovely especially on a summer day. Sitting outside would be a delightful experience. The service was not exceptional, which was disappointing considering the type of establishment it is.
We have dined at Harbour Heights several times before and have always enjoyed the food. However, during our most recent visit, we were disappointed with the limited options on the menu. The starters and desserts did not appeal to either of us, with only three choices available on the dessert menu. The service was lacking, as the waiter seemed indifferent and inattentive. He was not knowledgeable about the drinks and served me the wrong drink. Additionally, part of our food order was missed and we had to request water refills.
We decided to celebrate my son's 18th birthday lunch at The Heights, and we were all very impressed. The food and service were top-notch, and the views were absolutely spectacular. A special shoutout to Sol for his wonderful rendition of Happy Birthday and the birthday plate was a nice touch. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
Really enjoyed the food although it was a little pricey. Staff very friendly and accommodating
We have eaten several times before the harbour height and have always enjoyed the food. On this occasion, we were very disappointed by the choice of food on the menu (which changes from time to time and is not available in advance on the line) and could not find any starter or dessert that one of us liked, the dessert menu was limited in particular, there were only 3 choices (except the standard ice/sorbs/cheese offers). The service was indifferent and inconsistent, the waiter was not aware of the drinks and then served me with the wrong drink, part of our food order was missed and we had to ask for water above etc.
