While were hiking around and exploring the island, we noticed this very authentic charming pizzeria, that looked like exactly the kind of place where the locals eat, so we decided to give it a try. Even though it was a bus ride away from the port, where we were residing, it was way worth the effort. Previously we've had tried Da Luciano and Ponteze, which had great pizzas, but Silvio's pizzas were hands down not only the best pizzas on the island, but probably even the best ones I've had in my life. I know it sounds like a big promise, but I sincerely advice you to give it a try. The staff was extemely nice and the prices were about 5€ per pizza, so they were cheap as well when compared to the prices in Porto. I know I will return here when I get a chance
We've been to many places throughout Italy including numerous Pizzerias in Naples, and this is without question one of the best pizzas not just on the island of Ponza but in all of Italy! The friendly staff, including the parents of the pizziaolo who makes impromptu runs to their family giardino to restock fresh tomatoes and basil, is enough to find this place charming and worthwhile, but the reality is it's one of the best pies you can find, and one of the best values on the island. Don't skip specialities like the fried bucatini balls and the homemade cheesecake made by the momma of the Casa who also has a lovely souvenir shop just a few stores away. Not to miss during your stay on this wonderful island.
The pizza is one of the best I haver tried and is soft to the right point, after eating teh pizza you will not feel the bloated belly experience but a sense of lightness. The only improvements are to be made in the speed of service, during peek times can be very slow but place is extremely cheap.
