This is a small restaurant on the edge of the village no more than a dozen tables. The food is very good and the price for a set meal is comparable to equivalent establishments. I.E to English eyes it's a bit steep. View all feedback.
What Dindo Martini doesn't like about Locanda:
Fantastic service, we had a waiter called Ferrari who made us feel extremely welcome and spoke in at least 4 languages. He made our evening! Food was ok, the fondue was nice, but expensive, 30sf per person, served with bread, potatoes and pickled onions. View all feedback.
Exceptional food and wine! better than many meelin restaurants. the area very cozy place, we did not reserve ourselves, but we found a table and I am very glad that we did.
We ate here twice whilst in Pontresina lunch in the bar one day and dinner in the restaurant one night. The service was great friendly and informative and the local dishes were delicious. I particularly recommend the capuns!
We had a night excellent and pizza the next really good! very good staff and a good wine card.
Another great restaurant in pontresina. frankly, I think the culinary scene makes this city a great home ground in the opposite. we started with some very tasty salads and wein. we both ordered vegetarian main dishes- my was a wonderfully aromatized gnocchi that had a cheese cream sauce to die. my wife had a unique Latezli court, which was also very, very good.
Käsefondue is not a traditional Engadin court, but on our request our host in the hotel albris hotel bernina recommended for a wonderful cheesefondue for our last night in pontresina and it was! we were greeted with names, sitting in cozy wood...paneled stubli on the right side of the entry instead of the more formal dining room on the left side, and served as honored guests. we had a mixed salad, very tasty heusuppe (we have again good and wonderful traditional cheese fondue, complete with small glasses from kirsch to dive which we also ordered. one of our favourite meals in 2 weeks in Switzerland!
