Excellent food and reasonable prices. hits the heck from the big chains. friendly staff and quick preparation. clean. it seems to be a mother and pop restaurant. I had half the plate of pork ribs, tender and juicy. a lot of southern soul food too.

Fried tilapia, greens blackeye peas. delish. my sis ordered pork ribs, black inherited, green koolaid. she loved it. the portions are generous. we have often eaten at j’s and eating was consistently satisfied. Look at it if you want good soul food.

A very homely place. had lunch and wanted soul food. mac n cheese, crowned greens, red snaps and yams. right. will definitely have to go back.

First and only time in this place. I would not recommend this place. On the other day, 2 BRISKET ordered sandwiches and I was pulled pig. I knew the difference when I came home. I ordered the meal and got Mac n cheese with Coleslaw and Pommes. the Mac had WAY too much chili powder and the Coleslaw side was child size. The best thing about the plate was the Fritten

Excellent!!! Was looking at a house in Pomona stopped here to eat the food is top notch! Everything was perfect the chicken, the catfish, the greens, the peach cobbler, I can go on and on. My new favorite spot. It?s so hard to get good food these days, I?m a customer for life.
