There are only a few pubs in Polruan, and they are located next to each other. This one is very dog-friendly, offering good, polite, and helpful service. I enjoyed a beautiful pint of Cornish ale, which tasted especially delightful after a long trip. The scallops served on a bed of leeks were so delicious that I could overlook their slightly casual texture and the inconspicuous pieces of back bacon on top. My girlfri... View all feedback.
What Cypress14 doesn't like about Lugger Inn:
The pub is lovely, and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to expectations. The beef burger was of poor quality. Overall, I would rate the food a 1, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 3. View all feedback.
Large interior, but super space to sit in the sun next to the bootshof with views of the fowey.
Had a trip across the river for a few pints . great little spot .... summer time NEXT TIME . needed a few hot choc to get us cross the river warm
Lovely tradition inside, friendly staff, most amazing burger I have ever had, great value really good portions, would even satisfy our American friends! The burger, words such as immense, epic biblical if can be applied to food, apply to luggar's burger, hats off to the chef as I duly went back to the kitchen to tell him!
A stunning building, beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, friendly polite helpful staff and a new exceptional menu impeccably implemented. The fish stew perfectly cooked and sourced, melt in the mouth kind of goodness, fresher than fresh mussels, and everything to die for. Best I have ever had. So so so good. We will be back for sure. It looked so good too i had to take pictures. Amazing food and drinks (very well kept beer) in a very traditional setting!
Good Cornish beer. The team managed to squeeze us a table last minute. Roast was decent, particularly the stuffing balls. I'll be back. Special thanks to Jack, Charlie and Kevin- great hospitality.
