Friendly local place with friendly staff, good food and very very good value. Perfect for a lunch after clogging thru’ the Mont Blanc tunnel queue!
Excellent food, wine and service. Our server, Christian, was great and spoke excellent English. Very accommodating to allergies.
I have to say I am amazed at previous reviews because I was delighted with my food and the standard of service we received in Umami. Four of us had the 3 course Menu and thought it was excellent value for money. I have been toItalian Restaurants in UK which have been a complete rip off for very simple Italian dishes. Personally, I had a gnocchi starter, my main was Carpaccio with paper thin slices of apple and a choice of mixed salad, green beans or chickpeas as an accompaniment and then a lovely Panacotta with honey and thyme for afters, washed down with two litres of red wine (between four of us) I think that was excellent value for a €15 Menu. We were also given tap water for free (often in Europe a charge is levied). The young man (Kristian) who looked after us for the evening was very patient, explaining all the items we didn't know and checking with the kitchen if he didn't know ! It was a nice treat to have such a lovely evening after a hard days' skiing in Cervina, travelling down to Aosta and to find this little gem underneath our Hotel, not having to venture out when it was snowing outside. The bar was very pleasant and very reasonable too. We had a great evening and huge thanks to everyone in the Bar and Restaurant,
We stayed at the hotel above which was great and we ate in the restaurant below which was this one . My wife had the wild pork and she claimed it was the best dish she had in the three months we have been in Europe I had a small taste and had to concur and will be ordering it tomorrow Great service and good selection of drinks definitely worth a visit for dinner
