Like many travelers during year 2015, we also went in Polizzi because diverted there because of the interruption of the Palermo Catania motorway; we were direct... read more Like many travelers during year 2015, we also went in Polizzi because diverted there because of the interruption of the Palermo Catania motorway; we were directed to this restaurant otherwise very little visible even to those who pass nearby on the recommendation of a local of the town. The indication was important: we ate great food, at the right price. It 's worth noting the excellence of all the dishes we ordered. As first course, a kind of spaghetti with cheese and spicy sausage; and ravioli stuffed with ricotta and mushrooms, into a sauce of mushrooms too. As main courses, lamb chops and a wonderful boar (so called black stew. Finally, for dessert, a very good and typical cannoli Sicilian sweet, and an ice cream and chocolate semifreddo. It 's however to remember that some desserts were not available, even among the most famous specialties of the restaurant: the ice cream hazelnut semifreddo (hazelnuts are a typical Polizzi production and the so called sfoglio (cake stuffed with unsalted cheese, chocolate and cinnamon . Bill proportionate to what we consumed, not particularly low compared to the usual bills in inland Sicily (which are particularly low : 68 euros for three first courses, two main dishes, three desserts, two water bottles and a small beer. Restaurant pleasant and recommendable.

All were good as was the service. we also had a couple of glasses of the house wine which were probably not the best !
