Great food. My husband and I both ordered curries, one being a Penang curry which was the best Penang curry we've had. The masaman curry was good but the Penang was the stand out, service was good. View all feedback.
What Roselyn Grant dislikes about Oishii:
Visited recently for dinner. While the dumplings were lovely, the curry puffs were really bland. We ordered the cashew chicken and sizzling seafood for a main. The cashew chicken wasn't thai or Chinese or Japanese- very strange flavours. The seafood had a better Thai flavour, but where were the veggies??? Extremely quick and efficient. Friendly staff. No atmosphere though Very noisy. Delicious duck carpaccio, curry puffs and gyoza.
Although the decor here is somewhat stark and there is a certain lack of ambience the food more than made up for those shortcomings. The curry puffs were delicious and the Penang Duck Curry was outstanding. The sauce was smooth and flavoursome with just the right combination of spices and herbs. The grain fed beef Teri Yaki was amazing and was the most delicious, tender and flavoursome beef I have had in many years. Whilst it is obvious that English is not the wait staff's first language they were efficient and helpful and we had no complaints about the service. Would definitely go there again when in the Hunter Valley.
