Contribute FeedbackEsca offers a mixed dining experience, with some praising the ambiance, service, and overall value, while others found the food quality lacking. Reviews mention beautifully presented tasting menus with wine pairings, great atmosphere, and accommodating staff. Some guests were disappointed with specific dishes or service mishaps but overall enjoyed their time at the restaurant. Esca is recommended for its friendly service, romantic setting, and delicious food, despite some inconsistencies in dining experiences.
An absolute surprise. fine eating in the hunter without doubt. we're coming back.
Wonderful service we were originally seated on the veranda but it was too windy for me so our waiter found a lovely table inside for us.
My wife and I both chose to have the four course option from the menu. Each of us had two courses which were of very poor quality. The Potato Gnocchi was dense and tough and did not have any real flavour. The Yellowtail Kingsfish Crudo was smothered in olive oil and the fish was not fresh. The Duck Breast was totally overcooked and grey not blushing pink as expected. Based on our experience Esca should not be marketing itself as a fine dining restaurant.
We loved long lunching with a group of friends from interstate. The food and wine was amazing will definitely be back!
Portion sizes are very small for the price. Food quality very good.
