I wanted to order a Venti iced latte, which I do every day at my usual Starbucks, and it’s usually just $8. However, they told me they were out of Venti cups and could only offer tall or grande. I asked if I could still get a Venti but just in tall cups, and the barista agreed. I thought I’d be charged for a Venti while receiving two tall cups. However, when she rang me up, the total was $18.75! Plus, I had to pay an extra $0.75 for light ice. I was shocked—$18.75 for what should have been an $8 drink? Charging for light ice? Starbucks would never do that.
