It is so lovely to be able to go into a pub for the first time in so long that I can't pretend to give a neutral, unbiased review. The pub was lovely, the staff were lovely, the locals were lovely and the beer was lovely. There was a large beer garden with plenty of space and a lovely evening was had by all! View all feedback.
What Dink doesn't like about The Volunteer Inn:
Unfortunately, this restaurant has deteriorated over the past year. While the bar side received a fancy refurbishment that brought it up-to-date, the kitchen renovation never happened. The atmosphere is lacking, with the staff not seeming to enjoy their work, and the place is not well-maintained. The bathrooms are best avoided. Not welcome. every customer was an effort to serve. fortunately, the few masters who were there were more friendly.

Super friendly pub at the heart of the village! Gorgeous outside seating areas, plenty of cute little hideaways and such a welcoming atmosphere. 10/10 service and food. Really couldn't recommend highly enough. Family and pet friendly.
A traditional English country pub, great food, reasonably priced, real ale, great atmosphere, friendly family staff....
