The Lord High Admiral - Plymouth

A bit away from the actual city center, near the King William Dockyard and the buildings of Admiralty, lies the one-sided pub The Lord High Admiral (Lord Großadmiral). A rustic, cozy and at the same time modern pub, clean and welcoming, apparently recently refurbished, with a good selection of ales, beers, cider and longdrinks, good food and friendly service. In warm weather, the outdoor area is really full of obvious local guests, because tourists are hardly lost here. A great discovery and highly recommended!

I visited this restaurant for their Sunday roast and was impressed by the generous portion size and high quality of the food. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the menu offered a variety of options. Although there was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, the staff apologized and explained that it was a busy day. In the end, the wait was worth it and I will definitely be returning.

Went for a Mother’s Day Sunday lunch. The best roast beef I’ve had in a long time. The vegetarians enjoyed their roasts. Fella behind the bar was funny, lovely and welcoming. Waitresses also very friendly and helpful. Definitely would return

What a lovely place. warm welcome and a gorgeous veggie sunday roast. felt covid secure and there was even a little dog in there.

Fantastic little venue, been in a few times whilst working away, simple menu, very good, live music and quize nites, can't fault this little gem.
