The steak sandwich was delicious, but the fries were small and not very appealing. The servers were friendly and attentive.
The prices have gone up, and the bacon is greasy and not freshly prepared. The subs are also smaller than they used to be. Nevertheless, the restaurant is still as crowded as ever. You really don’t feel like you’re getting good value for your money. It’s quite disappointing.
This place definitely knows how to make a good sandwich. My Pittsburgher was hot and tasty for sure. But it wasn’t great. I would have liked to have had more meat and cheese, but overall I was still satisfied. For the money, I find this to be reasonable value, not great. Would I come back again, I would.
You really need to make a stop here for a meal. This place is a Pittsburgh classic, famous for serving some of the best subs in the entire country.
