Only concern I have are the small addi... read more The food at Monk 's in Plover area is excellent! Everything ordered by our party received nothing but positive responses. Only concern I have are the small additional charges that were hidden from us until we received the bill. I am not againstadditional charges for things, but all my experiences included the wait staff exposing the extra charges before a final decisionwas made. Examples of this were $0.70 for additional flavoring in lemonade and an extra $0.99 for a cup a ranch...and my familyloves their ranch. It is possible it was just the wait person we had, but the upcharge omitting seemed very natural during theorder taking. As long as you ask about additional charges when placing your order, Monk 's is a great place for a great tastingmeal.

Restaurant has a sports bar feel to it, but you are not overwhelmed by the sound of the televisions. Our party ordered fried cheese curds for an appetizer,, which were very good. Or dinner we hadbreakfast burger, which comes with an egg on it, chicken wings, Reuben, chicken wrap, and another burger. Everyone enjoyedtheir food and all agreed we would go back again.

Last couple times in my order has been messed up with either missing items or burgers not cooked to order. (E.g. ordered medium well and received medium rare). Withtheir chips being the go-to side they lack anything noteworthy. Not worth the entry price of the burger they accompany.

Place is very spacious and clean, and staff is very friendly and attentive. Our server was August and made our meal an enjoyable one. The Monkey Friesare positively delicious with the crispy bacon! I tried my friend's cauliflower bites and they have a lot more zing than Iexpected them to, but not unwelcome. We both had meals with brisket and it's heavenly! Smokiness was not overwhelming orartificial tasting, and the sauce was JUST the right amount to not make a mess. I actually took more pictures than this, but myphone decided not to save the others. Definitely planning on coming back to try more of the menu!
