Absolutely perfect small town bar food. Everything we love in Rural Iowa dining. Beer came in frosty mugs, burgers were real beef and came in a variety of creative ways. Service was perfect. We definitely will be back on our next road trip. View all feedback.
What Penny Potter doesn't like about Frosty 's Pub 'n Grub:
Ordered a short Captain n Coke in hopes it would taste a little stronger. No such luck. A friend ordered cheeseballs $6.80). We were surprised when They came They were mozzarella! Lightly breaded, and the order was HUGE and tasty! I'd give them another 1/2 star overall if I could! View all feedback.

Just wanna say that the taco salad in a shell is absolutely amazing here!!
First experience here after living in Iowa for well over a year, I am sad to have to review this place 3 5 stars as there really isn't many places to eat in the town of pleasantville especially at past 5pm but I must be honest here as always! The first time ever placing an order here me and my GF ordered 24 wings (Sriracha bourbon) Half boneless and half with the bone, a kids chicken strip basket, fish and chips and an order of onion rings at about 6:45pm for a late dinner, I cannot speak on the chicken strip basket as that was for our 11yr old but I'm sure they were good as hes gotten them many times. The onion rings were actually fried really well and tasted great !I LOVED the bone in chicken wings, flats are my personal favorite and they were delicious, fried perfectly and the sauce we got on them was amazing ! And that really is what caused this review to earn the 3 stars it's gotten. The fish and chips was pretty bad : to start off with that, the fish was WAY over fried, dry and absolutely overcooked, if the fish was fresh it was certainly cooked to death to the point it tasted as if it was frozen first.I didn't even make it half way thru the first piece of fish before completely just putting it to the side and not going back to it after the first few bites, I originally come from the east coast and have enjoyed and eaten probably well over a thousand pounds of seafood in my life time and that's no exaggeration !Simply put the fish and chips were a hard NO. our total came out to $60 with an included tip and with my first experience not being so great, I will go to this place one more time to give it a second chance as I believe every place deserves and if it's better I will of course update this review !If things end up the same I'll have to leave this up if not drop the rating. If you do choose to go to this place I highly recommend the wings as you shouldn't be let down with those nor the onion rings but as for now that's all I can say.

This is more of a restaurant with a small bar then a pub, IMHO.Nice clean place with friendly staff and a solid and interesting food offering. If you are looking a pub or dive bar, this is NOT that place. If you are looking for a good meal with a beer or cocktail, this could be a 5 star place to you.
