While our son was hunting deer ???? for the season? We decided to check out a restaurant we have been hearing amazing things about but hadn?t tried yet. DELICIOUS!!! So much to say about this place! The owner, Karen, stopped at our table?such a sweetlady! Nearly 48 years in business!! The onion rings are fantastic! The pizza has a delicious thin crust. The decor is vibrant and enjoyable.

I absolutely love Checkerboard! The service is great, and the food is delicious. It's a must-visit if you're in the area. They have the best ranch dressing in the country!
Great service!!! The server was very prompt and friendly. Pizza was very good. Prices are reasonable. This place is popular for a reason. Very busy with locals, as well as people from out of town. Worth the drive.
Gotta love the place. Decorated throughout with antiques from early settlers and Old West. Waitresses had cowboy hats and six guns. Had taco pizza and bacon cheeseburger pizza. Both very good. Menu had, sandwiches, appetizers, dinners, and salads as well. Service was fast and friendly. Well worth the stop.
