Ruby Hill Winery - Pleasanton
Ruby Hill Winery
Description
Ruby Hill Winery offers a stunning, comfortable tasting room and patio with a strong wine lineup—from buttery Chardonnay and sparkling to a standout Zinfandel and the well‑received Odyssey blend. Thoughtful charcuterie and member events add appeal, and staff are often accommodating. However, guests report inconsistent service, occasional rudeness, restrictive restroom access near closing, refusal to provide Wi‑Fi, and abrupt seating policies. Overall, a beautiful venue with solid wines but uneven hospitality.

We visited on a chilly, rainy day, so we stayed indoors. We ordered both the red flight and the reserve flight. The service was excellent.
Had a wonderful day wine tasting at Ruby Hill. Everyone is so nice..the wine tasting was wonderful. We chose the white wines. The Chardonnay has a wonderful buttery taste. My favorite was the reserve. The sparkling wine is so delicious.
This winery has a stunning building and beautiful surroundings. The wines we sampled were decent, with the Zinfandel being the highlight. Our group reservation was initially divided into two different areas, which felt a bit unusual, but the staff was accommodating and helped us rearrange things. The charcuterie platter was a delight, featuring a variety of amazing cheeses.
Don't pour a 13Yr member, who brought in a prospective member, a flight of wine then without any notice tell us we have to finish outside in front not even in the covered area, in the cold and not provide seats or heat lamp while you stay inside seriously the WORST service with no consideration for members there are dozens of other tasting rooms nearby ... you lost not only your account but you lost Rubino's business from us as well congratulations!
