Bambu - Pleasanton
Bambu
Description
Nestled in Pleasanton's Pacific Pearl shopping center, this Bambu spot delivers bright, fruit-forward teas and inventive desserts made with fresh ingredients—whole lychees and basil seeds stand out—served quickly in a clean, air-conditioned space with ample parking. Friendly staff and indoor seating make it a convenient stop after outlet shopping. Expect small portions, occasional watery or thin pours, mushy boba, inconsistent sweetness, and premium prices that can feel high for the cup sizes.

Glad I was able to find one in a remote area like the Liv, but all four ches we ordered were watered down like tequila shots served at the inclusive resorts. Not the best offer we got from a Bambu shop; maybe blame it on the crazy hot recent days..
After a hot, sweltering day shopping at the nearby Outlet mall, we desperately needed something refreshing to cool us down. We stopped by the Pacific Pearl mall for some food, and noticed Bambu nearby. The store itself is very clean, air conditioned, with plenty of indoor seating available. There was no wait when we arrived at 3pm on a Thursday, and our order was ready in about 5mins. For our drink, we opted to try the Lychee Fruit Tea w/ boba. What really surprised us about the Lychee Fruit Tea, was that it actually came with several whole pieces of lychee inside the drink! Although a bit lighter in taste than I am use to, and the boba mushier in texture than I would prefer, the drink was definitely made with fresh ingredients. And the basil seeds mixed in offered a nice touch. Service was very friendly, but portion sizes are on the smaller end. Free parking is readily available in the private lot outside.
Bambu never disappoints! every once in a while on a hot day, my mom craves bambu and now that we've had this location open for a couple of years, it has become her new go-to spot when it comes to creamy and refreshing desserts! Be sure to check out their extensive menu to make sure that you get everything you want in your chè, my mom's favorites are the taro lover and bambu combo! I will admit, I'm personally not a fan of chè so I end up getting the smoothies and they are just as creamy and refreshing! Sometimes I'll get their boba and it hardens from the icyness of the smoothie if I don't drink it fast enough, but the boba itself is neutral and not sweet!
My friend and I was intrigued to try the jasmine milk tea at Bambu. We tried many locations, but they had inconsistent hours. We finally made it to this location in Pleasanton! They are located in the Pacific Pearl shopping center, it's a busy plaza, but there are plenty of parking spots if you do not mind walking. This review is solely based on my experience on the boba/jasmine milk tea with boba. The drink itself was watered down, and the boba was chewy and kind of melting in my mouth as I was chewing. I heard good things about their Smashed Avocado Che, so I will most likely try that next time for a better experience.
We had their Che drinks and they were yummy. Good amount of stuff . Someone in front of us ordered a halo halo which wasn 't on the menu but they were happy to make it. Just ask if there is something you are in the mood for and they might be able to accommodate. Staff is friendly and they make the drinks pretty quickly. If you don 't plan to drink it immediately you can ask them to put the ice separate and they will seal the cup for you.
