What Kristina doesn't like about Tocaya Modern Mexican:
The food was pretty good. It wasn’t like the most amazing food or anything. The burrito was fine it was pretty greasy from the chorizo. The tomatillo salsa was very chunky, I prefer it a little less chunky. The vegan chipotle crema needed a little bit more flavor, it was a little bland. We also had some margaritas and I couldn’t taste any alcohol in it, they were very weak. View all feedback.
Great food tons of combinations vegetarian options!Parking: Paid parking garage immediately next to restaurant
The food is good but they always add extra and always put my food in the wrong place when i order
The location is cute. But I found the food on par with chipotle. The proportion of rice to food was way to ricey for the price. I also found it all mushy. We spent $52 on a burrito, a bowl, a lemonade, and a churro. Definitely feel like this restaurant is not for me.
Food as usual was amazing. The margarita rimmed with Tajin was very good too. I got the combo that included Asada tacos, Mexican street corn and a Margarita. Easy free street parking, great indoor/outdoor spaces and friendly staff.
Service is ok, ambiance is casual. Food used to be good but they changed the rice recipe (according to one of the employees) And the rice is just uncooked. I don't like mushy rice, but a Mexican restaurant with rice you can't eat is a big disappointment. Even my kids wouldn't eat it. And the never refuse rice
