What User dislikes about Mcsweeney's Red Hots:
Apparently known for their hot dogs buried with onions and seasoned sloppy Joe sauce. It must be a local thing, but I can't be happy about it. Fries are soggy even if I asked. It is interesting the number of ways to offer Pommes. You'd almost think it was her specialty! Chicken salad was fresh and a good part. This is an established local family business, so try to support it. View all feedback.

Myself and my husband, son went to dinner here with a couple friends. The service was excellent and the food was great. Our server was very polite and friendly. Our food came out quickly and was exceptional as always. They have some of the best Michigan's in town. There was 5 of us and the bill wasn't bad either so there prices are very fair and affordable. Worth every penny in my opinion. I would recommend this place to anyone wether they are from the area or visiting the area. Great food and Great service all the time.

5 stars shouldn?t be handed out for giggles. That said, this location of the area?s McSweeney?s Red Hots chain is the best (IMHO). For years the staff has ran around bussing tables, serving patrons, and car hopping (in terrible weather at times). Service Is always fast and the employee move 3-4 times faster than staff at any other business in the area code. Food is exactly what you would expect and deserve (and you can even get a pint of their signature sauce for the road). Bathrooms are refreshed this year and as clean as the rest of the location. Pro tip: don?t come right at lunch and get mad that service is a little slower (but still faster than most). Bring cash, this place doesn?t line the corporate pockets of Visa and MC. Also, try the milkshake. If you?re feeling froggy, ask for it extra thick. If you don?t like what you eat or the service, I?ll treat you to a visit to give them a second try. Cheers!

My boyfriend and I stopped by this restaurant for lunch yesterday while my car was being serviced nearby. We walked over and chose to sit inside. The server was incredibly friendly and did an excellent job managing both the indoor tables and car orders. We ordered Michigans and homemade French fries, which never let us down! The restaurant was also exceptionally clean. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I believe they only accept cash, so be sure to bring enough and consider leaving a generous tip for the staff, as they work harder and faster than many other places. There’s ample paved parking available. I didn’t check for handicapped parking or accessibility features. Overall, the food is fantastic for a roadside stop, and I highly recommend it.

You must really love McSweeney’s! The atmosphere at Michael's is fantastic. I couldn't have a better experience.

This fast food restaurant is fantastic, offering a great selection of tasty options including burgers, fries, Michigans, poutine, onion rings, milkshakes, and more. The staff is friendly, helpful, and extremely quick. Every item I've tried has been exceptional. The menu has a wide variety that can please even the pickiest eaters. The dining area is always clean, even during peak hours. Keep in mind that it’s a cash-only place, so remember to bring cash and consider giving a generous tip to the hardworking staff—they move faster and work harder than anywhere else. There’s ample paved parking available. I couldn’t assess the handicap accessibility, but the food is truly excellent for a roadside stop. I highly recommend this place!

This restaurant is well-known for its hot dogs topped with onions and a savory sloppy joe sauce. Although it's a favorite among locals, I didn't find it very appealing. The fries were soggy despite my request for them to be cooked well done. It's intriguing how many different styles of fries they offer; you might assume that fries are their specialty! On a brighter note, the chicken salad was fresh and came in a generous serving. As a long-established local family business, I encourage people to support them.

Five stars aren’t given out lightly. That said, this McSweeney’s Red Hots location is hands down the best in the area, in my opinion. For years, the staff has been tirelessly bussing tables, serving customers, and even car hopping—sometimes in awful weather. The service is always quick, with employees moving three to four times faster than staff at any other place around here. The food is exactly what you’d expect and deserve, and you can even take home a pint of their signature sauce. The bathrooms were renovated this year and are just as clean as the rest of the restaurant. Pro tip: avoid coming right at lunch and getting frustrated if the service is a bit slower—it's still faster than most spots. Bring cash, as this place doesn’t cater to Visa or Mastercard. Also, don’t miss the milkshake. If you’re feeling adventurous, ask for it extra thick. If you’re not happy with your food or the service, I’ll happily treat you to a visit so you can give them a second chance. Cheers!

Stopped by to try a couple of Michigans as part of the Plattsburgh Michigan Passport promotion. I usually go for a bacon burger and poutine, but it was a refreshing change to enjoy some high-quality Michigans. As always, they handle orders quickly, and even though it was lunchtime, the wait wasn’t too long!
