While it is definitely on the expensive side, the food, view, and service all contributed to a fantastic evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. We arrived around 7:30pm and found that time to be perfect for our visit.

I took my girlfriend here for a lovely dinner and drinks. It's the ideal restaurant for boaters! The Rusty Anchor is elevated, with the back dining area hanging over the water, offering a stunning view of Valcour Island in the distance. The prices for food are reasonable, the drink prices are fair, and the meal was delicious. The appetizer was particularly outstanding. Make sure to try the stuffed portabellas, you won't be disappointed!

I went with a large group and most of us were satisfied. They used imitation crab in one of their dishes. The seating we had was at a table facing the water, unfortunately the windows were very dirty with bugs in it. It kind of took away from the view. It was still a nice dining experience and the staff was nice from what I remember.

Be aware that if you order crab cakes it only has 1 crab cake. I asked the waitress about this and she said 'oh I forgot to tell you you only get 1 with that order. ' That is why I took a star away.
