The Royale - Plano

I will repeat the words our 5 year old grandson told to the server as he was holding his thumb us this place is awesome. I am not sure I would use that tired word, but it was very very good. We went with our daughter and one of her sons. We thought an order of onion rings would complement the fries which came with the burger, but the 5 onion rings per order would not be enough. We were wrong. It was more than enough between the three adults. And the shakes were outstanding. I had a shot of bourbon in my salted caramel shake. It was great! Oh yes, the burgers were excellent. In short, a burger/fries, onion rings and a shake was more than enough food. We left happy. Two very minor disappointments no malts. I like malts, but it made little difference. Second, the restaurant cancelled our OpenTable reservation after we arrived. That meant that I had to e mail OpenTable to get credit. Lesson learned tell the restaurant that you had an OpenTable reservation so you get credit. In summary four thumbs up.

Great burgers, very juicy and flavorful. Sweet potato waffle fries were really good and onion rings had the right amount of crispy batter. Iced tea was great too!

Food was delicious, staff was friendly! The vanilla shake wasn't enough, wished the glass was a little larger.

Needed to refresh coffee. Too many hand offs between wait staff. Brunch is awesome local secret but service could improve
