One of my favorite upscale dining spots in the Plano area. The rack of lamb and filet mignon are both exquisite, and the lobster macaroni and cheese is perfectly prepared. It's a great venue for celebrating special occasions, though it is on the pricier side. Unfortunately, the mashed potatoes tasted like they were from a package, which was disappointing. What jim doesn't like about Mignon:
We had a lovely time dining on the covered patio. All of our main dishes were quite tasty. However, it appeared that the service staff might not have been properly trained. We often had to request water refills, coffee refills, bread, and even utensils for our dessert. Overall, the staff seemed a bit inattentive, which might be attributed to a lack of training. Much gratitude to our awesome waitress, Elizabeth and the entire staff for a wonderful dining experience! My niece and I visited Mignon's to celebrate a (not so happy) anniversary and our spirits were lifted. We walked in to a warm welcome, were seated at a nice table in the patio area with a gorgeous view and setting. Since this was our first time visiting, we had a few questions about the menu options and Elizabeth patiently answered ALL our questions and made knowledgeable suggestions according to our preferences and we were not disappointed! KUDOS to the chef(s) who improvised and substituted to make sure our preferences were accommodated. The service and food was impeccable and Mignon's is now on our list of FAVS!
This excellent restaurant has been a staple for 20 years. It offers a legendary French-style menu, with a particular focus on steak. The mussels were outstanding, and the filet au poivre was exceptional. However, the Beef Wellington dish could use a bit more flavor.
On Mother's Day at 5 PM, we had an excellent experience at the restaurant. The service was great, and the food was delicious. We started with the calamari appetizer and the heirloom tomato salad, both of which were fantastic. For our main courses, we ordered the California-style halibut and the ribeye with whipped potatoes, both of which were incredible. The prices were a little higher than I had anticipated, but overall, we had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This is our favorite restaurant in Plano. We visit every couple of months, and the food is always outstanding. Every time we come here, we have a fantastic experience...
