At this local eatery, the spotlight shines brightly on dumplings, which receive praise for their authentic flavor and quality. Signature dishes like signature boiled dumplings and steamed buns stand out, leaving diners intrigued. However, the restaurant falters with other offerings; entrees often disappoint, lacking freshness and seasoning. Service inconsistencies further detract from the experience, with delays and limited server interactions noted. While some patrons enjoy the ambiance and the dumpling-centric menu, concerns about food safety have emerged, underscoring the need for improvement in overall quality and customer care. Proceed with caution and savor the dumplings.

Was Butters at Dumpling House a mag?
Response to the owner: Yes, the flavors are fantastic! However, the current CDC guidelines no longer require masks for vaccinated individuals, so your sign is quite outdated and feels unwelcoming. What Brandyn Smith dislikes about Dumpling House:
The dumplings were good, but the entrees were not special. (Besides the dumplings) the food did not taste fresh. Dumpling prices seem kinda high for quantity and quality. View all feedback.

Highly recommended the soupenknödel, steamed buns and filled pancakes. very authentic Chinese dumplings. the service is a bit slow and a few mix-ups, but still good value. simply do not waste the experience by ordering typical American style Chinese foods like orange huh.

About two hours later, she began vomiting repeatedly, and this continued throughout the day. After expelling everything she had eaten that afternoon, her vomit consisted only of water and liquids. She couldn't keep any food or even water down and looked extremely uncomfortable and weak. In the following days, she had multiple instances of vomiting and diarrhea, and it wasn't until Friday that her condition finally improved. We took her to the pediatrician, who confirmed that this was likely food poisoning, which could continue for about a week. I was shocked to learn that the quality of their food was so poor, especially since bark pancakes and dumplings are their signature dishes. As a consumer, I expect to receive safe and healthy food from any restaurant.

On a positive note, the service we received was excellent! Our server was remarkable—she was always quick to refill our water before it even got low. We enjoyed the house special steamed buns, soup dumplings, and pumpkin shrimp fried dumplings, all of which were bursting with flavor. I can't wait to come back! (On the negative side, the signs on the door stating “no mask, no service” felt off given the current CDC recommendations, and they almost made us reconsider dining in. While we didn’t wear masks, we did receive service.)

This is our favorite restaurant, and we’re willing to drive 45 minutes just to eat here. The food is always served fresh and piping hot. The shrimp and pork dumplings are incredible, and my kids can’t get enough of the sesame chicken. The walnut shrimp is among the best I’ve ever had, and we also really enjoy the crispy squid. The service is great, and the food is outstanding.
