Teriyaki Junction - Placerville

I am quite puzzled as to why this restaurant has a decent review. However, many people in the area appreciate the nostalgic aspect of a place that has been in the same location for years. I recently dined here with a friend and found the staff to be lacking in politeness. Unfortunately, the food was so terrible that we almost threw up (and this wasn't our first bad experience here). I wish there was an option to give half a star for occasions like this.

My husband enjoys their teriyaki, but the tempura shrimp batter is overly thick and greasy, causing the tempura to become soggy. The gyoza is mediocre and the sushi is low quality. It's not the worst place to eat, but it's not the best either. The prices are high considering the quality of the food. I would recommend skipping this place if you are looking for authentic sushi or Japanese cuisine. The only thing worth trying here is the teriyaki over white rice. The seafood restaurant next door is excellent, and the other sushi restaurant in the complex is much better.

Do not get the chicken salad. Completely pathetic salad and severely lacking

Didn't quite hit the teriyaki craving. Meat could have been more charred and overall the meal could have been a lot better. Best thing was the potsticker.
