Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse Pittsburgh

My husband and I had dinner there for restaurant week and we were very disappointed. The service was fair at best. The waiter was very curt and aloof--he was not very helpful--almost like he really didn't want to be there. For the price, even during restaurant week, it was VERY expensive. We both ordered the filet and it was extremely salty, and desserts were average. We would NOT recommend this restaurant. There are much better restaurants out of the city.

Seated about 30 minutes after reservation time but expected that with Restaurant Week. Our party enjoyed all their meals and loved all the upgrade options as part of Restaurant Week menu. The service was friendly and attentive despite how busy they were. Value score fair: I find their mark up on bottles of wine considerably higher than other Pittsburgh restaurants of their caliber.

Outstanding food/steak. Service is perfect and variety of choices are superb. It is pricey for drinks.

I had been to another DelFrisco's in Boston's Seaport District many times. I thought I knew what to expect, but I was surprised to have such a wonderful experience in my hometown of Pittsburgh. Despite the busy crowd of restaurant week our meal (timing) and service were amazing. We will be back!
