Il Pollo D'oro - PISTOIA

Based on the reviews, we stopped off for dinner, on our way from Florence to Montecatini Terme. I had bucatini Amatriciana for starters. It was fine, but I have often had much better. My companion had crostini. Basic and bland. Pizza for mains. My companion's white pizza with mushrooms was very nice. I made a bad choice, Contadina. Nice dining room, but very warm even though we were close to the large open window. Service was perfunctory.

The food is very, very good. We wanted a small meal, and in the end, could not stop eating—the penne with Gorgonzola, pears and pistachios was heaven. The wild boar in a special sauce similar to Mexican molé, with very dark chocolate and warm spices served with white beans cooked with sage was unforgettably complex and delicious. Pizza also super, and the staff and owners attentive and welcoming.

We have been in this pizzeria almost everyday of our vacation. The staff is very friendly, polite and everytime smiling. Also the owners are very nice people. We felt warm welcomed everytime. Pizza is really really fantastic!! Best quality ingredience and perfect dough. There is nice italian atmosfere, you can drink wine or beer and just watch how is making the best pizza ever! 100% recommend! Fam. Nespor Tomas

In this place I was a little years ago when I was in these neighborhoods and I was very happy to come back and see that nothing had changed ... spacious restaurant, friendly staff and very friendly where I ate a wonderful tomato parrot, delicious appetizers and also the rest of the dishes that arrived. excellent value for money
