So happy to find a vegan place while travelling... read more I shopped some chilli sin carne, a pumpkin muffin and apple dessert to go and everything was totally delicious. So happy to find a vegan place while travelling in Pisa. The guy at Gingerlab wanted to tell me about the ingredients (in Italian) but I was fine, I knew it would be great! Which it was. Recommended!

We were wondering what we would eat for dinner, and this little restaurant with its deli counter filled with a large variety of different dishes, pulled us in. The owner and his lovey co-coworker explain the variety of food on display. Everything looked delicious, and since it was a deli, we could choose a little of everything. We loved it all. Unfortunately, we were to full to try the desserts. We left them for another day.

Delightful surpris... read more Small vegetarian takeaway with some tables to eat in. Hard to find but well worth persevering. No signs outside just a few tables and chairs. Delightful surprise when going inside as there is an excellent choice of tasty dishes to choose from. All are freshly made with organic ingredients. Even the beer is organic... excellent. The 2 of us spent around 23 euros for 4 portions, beer water and dessert and coffee. Good quality and value.

The door was wide open, so we assumed it was open for business. My kids headed straight for the toilet, but before they reached it, a little man with ginger hair appeared and told us to get out, as if we were stray dogs. It seems the place was closed .. we were supposed to know that somehow. Rather than just saying sorry, we 're closed , the man spoke to me as if I was a piece of muck on the bottom of his shoe. Personally, I wouldn 't trust a place under management with that attitude to provide satisfactory goods and service, they clearly have a disdain for the general public. Patronising and aggressive; find somewhere with some positive vibe and ambience, it 's not a place to enjoy a holiday stop, vegan or not!

Mostly organic I as... read more We made our way here from the tower and were pleasantly surprised with a small cafe offering many vegan options straight from their cabinet. Mostly organic I assume, the food was wholesome, nutritious and super delicious but far from fancy (if that’s what you’re looking for) The owner staff member was so friendly and although he didn’t speak great English helped us through the menu and wouldn’t let us tip him, he was so sweet. I had the minestrone soup and my husband the risotto. We shared a plate of carrots and potatoes. Everything was delicious and made with love, we were very happy we filled our tummies here! Stop by the bio mart across the road that has loads of vegan goodies to choose from also!
