Diners rave about the delicious offerings, including standout pretzel rolls and expertly crafted dishes that evoke nostalgia. Unique beverages, like the pumpkin martini, and desserts, such as the perfectly balanced German chocolate cake, delight patrons. While service can vary, attentive waitstaff like Renee have garnered praise. Whether for casual dining or special occasions, Waldhorn is a true gem that promises a memorable culinary adventure.
You don't have to travel all the way to Helen for German cuisine! The treasure is right here! I visited this restaurant for my birthday recently, and I must say the food is incredible. Growing up with Czech parents, the cuisine here brings back nostalgic memories. The dishes are perfectly cooked, delicious, and unlike anything else you will find nearby. This restaurant is truly a gem! The waitress even surprised me with a complimentary slice of Black Forest cake, which was also delightful. This is now my top choice in town, and I plan to return for future special occasions with my wife.
Came for a sports event to Charlotte and stayed here for dinner. Every time we're in Charlotte, it's a must, and we didn't have it in a few years. We left home almost two hours early to make sure we got there before lunch. The food, beer and service were not disappointed at all. Absolutely delicious! I'm not sure when we come back to Charlotte, but I know we're coming back to dinner here!
I came here with my friends for dinner yesterday. The food was delicious, the place was clean, and the service was good. I like the Pretzel Rolls they have there! They also meet a beer club every Tuesday.
We celebrated a special occasion at Waldhorn for dinner. The restaurant was extremely clean and well-maintained. Our waitress was courteous and efficient. I decided to try the pumpkin martini, which was a delightful surprise for pumpkin lovers. The whipped cream topping was fantastic. I ordered the cheese plate for my main course and it was absolutely delicious. I was worried it might be too heavy, but it was just right - not too rich, not too light. The addition of bacon really enhanced the flavor. For dessert, we shared the German chocolate cake, which was a special for the day. I usually find German chocolate desserts to be overly sweet, but this one had just the right balance of flavors. The strawberry, mint, and whipped cream on the side added a refreshing touch. We also ordered a standard coffee to go with our dessert, which was a perfect complement to the cake.
Our first experience at Waldhorn Restaurant was a great one. The authentic German atmosphere, selection of beers and wines, and delicious food made for an enjoyable meal. Despite not being able to pronounce some of the items on the menu, everything we ordered was tasty. However, we were disappointed with our waitress, who was not attentive to our needs. Another waitress named Renee ended up taking care of us and provided excellent service. We believe in providing constructive criticism in order to improve, so we hope the restaurant addresses this issue. Overall, we highly recommend Waldhorn Restaurant and will definitely be returning – just make sure to ask for Renee when you visit.
