What Hipolito Pouros doesn't like about Chefs Kitchen Carolina Place:
Our waitress was good and the food was good but that’s where it stops. It took over 30 minutes to get a cocktail and almost an hour to get food. Apparently, the chef was alone in the kitchen. The bartender has ZERO sense of urgency and was content to fill only parts of orders before moving on to the next. There was no management visible. They were understaffed, not busy. We won’t be wasting our time there again. View all feedback.
The atmosphere was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and approachable. The only downside was the crab cake and scallops.
As for drinks, the Peachy Mules were a highlight, and my friend also enjoyed a strawberry cocktail—but the Peachy Mules truly stole the show! I do want to mention that the portions were a bit smaller than I would have preferred for the price. However, since it's gourmet food, I can understand. The lobster meat in my ravioli was incredible! And the ravioli pieces were quite generous, plus the 5-ounce tail that came with it was perfectly prepared—tender and sweet. Yes, I definitely plan to return! I'm looking forward to trying the Napoleon Seafood Tower next time. The ambiance was also nice, though a bit chilly. Overall, a great experience!
The food is absolutely AMAZING. I had some fantastic dishes, but the Sea Bass is truly something special—it just melts in your mouth. I’m not using the typical “melting in your mouth” exaggeration; it really does dissolve, leaving you with an incredible flavor! This chef and this restaurant deserve more recognition. Getting a table here should be nearly impossible!

It has a good atmosphere and our server Lauren was exceptional. The food was just ok. People should try it out for themselves, it wasn’t terrible but it also wasn’t great.
