Ty for the reply. I meant to write a review but was a busy day. The staff was polite and welcoming from when i entered. Food and service was great. Thank you.
I arrived at 815 today store say it closes at 9pm Sunday this is not the first time either. I then proceeded to head over to the location at 107 and Kendall they closed at 823pm and showing 9pm. So I proceeded to head over to the palmetto great staff andclose at the appropriate time specified
Dirty, dirty, dirty. I used to eat here often, but starting about a year or so ago the entire culture of this restaurant and staff changed. Last week, we went in to get a carry out order, and 2 African American youths were working there. No gloves, nomasks. Neither one was wearing even a uniform or company shirt. Just street clothes. And one had a hoodie with the hood pulledup over his head while making food. One was constantly rubbing his nose and touching plates of food and serving utensils. AgainNO GLOVES NO MASKS worn by staff! Filthy! The entire serving station and hot line was disgusting. Pieces of food scatteredeverywhere, spills and stains not cleaned, and chicken skin and chicken pieces scattered all over the floor in the front. Weleft without getting our order. This place needs to be shut down, cleaned, and inspected by the MDC Health Dept. How can theownership allow this sort of public health danger to go on is sickening. Eat here at your own risk.
It’s tough to look back on what used to be great. I’m not angry, just disappointed. After all these years of loyalty and passion, I feel neglected and let down. I’m not sure where things went wrong, but I know it will never be the same. Prices have increased, while the quality and portion sizes have noticeably declined. The rice is hardly edible, and I can’t even get enough mustard curry to satisfy my taste buds. The staff comes off as strange and distant. Even the chicken skin is undercooked. It’s difficult to say goodbye. I’ll always have love for Chicken Kitchen, but for now, we need to take a break. By the way, who wants to join me at 3Chefs tonight?
Chicken Kitchen is the finest spot for chicken! There was an incredible chef who prepared the best chicken I’ve ever tasted, but I believe he has moved on. Despite that, the menu still offers dishes that are far superior to any other chicken places I've tried, so I always make a special effort to dine here.
